The Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei (CAA) and the Taiwan Bar Association will co-organize a conference titled “International Arbitration Costs: Practical Perspectives and Insights” on 31 October 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00, as part of the 2025 Taiwan Arbitration Week series. Our partners, Alison Chang and Helena Chen, will chair and moderate the sessions on the following important topics related to international arbitration costs:
•What are the components of arbitration costs?
•How are arbitration costs apportioned between the parties? What are the principles for such apportion?
•Fee mechanisms adopted by major arbitral institutions: do they influence parties’ choice of institution?
•Security for costs
•Are deposits or advance payment required for set-offs?
•Whether fees may be refunded upon partial withdrawal of claims.
