Congratulations to Chen & Chang’s Partner Alison Chang on Successfully Completing the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy!
Organized by the ICC Institute of World Business Law, the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy is a prestigious advanced training programme designed for experienced international arbitration practitioners. The Asia programme selected approximately 40 seasoned arbitration professionals from various jurisdictions through a competitive application process.
Over the course of the year-long programme, Alison participated in eight intensive in-person workshops held across four cities: Jakarta, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Under the guidance of internationally renowned arbitrators and counsel from the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, participants explored key aspects of international arbitration from an arbitrator’s perspective, including the constitution of arbitral tribunals, procedural management, interim measures, evidentiary proceedings and hearings, deliberation, as well as drafting and scrutiny of arbitral awards.
Notably, during the mock arbitration proceedings, Alison was selected to serve as a Presiding Arbitrator, demonstrating her composed and effective approach to procedural management and earning high praise from the programme’s Co-Chairs, expert speakers, and fellow participants.
The successful completion of this programme marks an important milestone in Alison’s continued pursuit of excellence in international arbitration, further enhancing her expertise and practical skills while strengthening her professional connections within the international arbitration community.
