Our partner Helena Chen C.Arb FCIArb is honored to moderate the first session: “Arbitration Efficiency in AI and Digital World” at the international conference on “Arbitration in AI and Digital World” taking place on 12 July 2024. This conference was co-organized by Taiwan Bar Association, the Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei (CAA), the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and LAWASIA.
Speakers at this Session, Prof. Dr. Harald Sippel, Ms. Sophie Ahn, Ms. YiChu Chen, and Ms. Joyce W. Chen (in their speaking order) delivered very informative and forward-looking speeches, which elicited questions and feedback regarding the application of AI in international arbitration in the real world from the engaging audience. Helena’s witty and insightful comments are one of the highlights of this very interactive Session. Referring to a closing remark at the ICCA conference in May 2024: “AI is not going to take your job. It’s people who use AI are going to take your job,” Helena encouraged everyone to better equip ourselves to ride the tide of AI wisely.
