KCAB International organized a Session on “Evolving Best Practice and Standards - Advancing Efficiency in International Arbitration” on 26 November 2025 during the Japan International Arbitration Week (#JIAW). Chen & Chang’s partner, Helena Chen, was very honored and delighted to be invited to join a panel of leading experts, including Prof Seung Wha Chang, and Ms Pui-Ki Emmanuelle Ta, the Chairman and Secretary-General of KCAB International. Helena shared her observations on how leading institutions and practitioners can ensure that evolving standards remain inclusive and responsive to a broad range of users. From her experiences in acting as an arbitrator and counsel, Helena also offered her insights on the fine line separating an arbitral tribunal’s proactive case management from the risk of undermining party autonomy.
Chen & Chang’s partners, Helena Chen and Alison Chang, are both listed on the KCAB International’s Panel of International Arbitrators.
