The 20th Cross-Strait Economic and Trade Arbitration Symposium, co-organized by the Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei (#CAA) and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (#CIETAC ), was successfully held in Taipei on 4 February 2026, marking a major annual gathering for the arbitration communities across the Taiwan Strait.
Chen & Chang’s partner, Helena Chen, moderated Session I, titled “The Application and Practice of Interim Measures and Mechanisms for Enhancing Efficiency in Arbitration Proceedings Across the Taiwan Strait,” facilitating in-depth exchanges among the speakers and discussants.
Chen & Chang’s partner, Alison Chang, delivered a lecture in Session II on “The Development and Challenges of Arbitration Institutions and Ad Hoc Arbitration Across the Taiwan Strait”. She presented a comprehensive analysis of the current judicial practice and potential challenges to ad hoc arbitration in Taiwan.
