Chen & Chang’s Partners, Helena Chen and Alison Chang, Were Honored to be Invited to Speak and Deliver Opening Remarks at the “Key Trends and Developments in Construction Arbitration” Conference

The Attorneys Academy and ADR Committee of the Taiwan Bar Association (TWBA), the Chinese Construction Industry Arbitration Association, and the Chinese Construction Foundation co-organized a Conference titled “Key Trends and Developments in Construction Arbitration” on 7 November 2025.

Chen & Chang’s partner, Alison Chang FCIArb, in her capacity as the Convenor of Ciarb Taiwan Chapter, was honored to be invited to deliver opening remarks with Vincent Tsai, Vice President of TWBA. They expressed their delight at seeing legal and construction professionals gathered, emphasizing that the conference laid a solid foundation for cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration.

Chen & Chang’s partner, Helena Chen C.Arb FCIArb, was invited to deliver a speech on “Highlights of the Amendments to the PRC Arbitration Law — from the Perspective of Parties to Construction Contracts.” Drawing on her extensive experience serving as both arbitrator and counsel in cases administered by institutions such as the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Beijing International Arbitration Court (BIAC), Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), Helena provided an in-depth analysis of the key amendments to the PRC Arbitration Law and shared her insights on the potential practical implications for parties involved in construction contracts.
